About Him & Her quizzes
How to play Quizmaster version - in a pub, club (or at home)
1. Advertise the evening to couples
2. On the night, jot down a list of all couples playing (ready for scoring at the end)
3. Ask the ladies to sit on one side of the pub (room or table if playing elsewhere) and the blokes on the other - tell them this is for safety reasons which they may understand better later!
4. Having laid out answer sheets & pens for everyone, ask your players to write their name at the top, FOLLOWED by their partners name. (Free answer sheets are available to print out on our website - get them to replace 'team name' with aforementioned)
5. Ask the men the first 5 questions about their partners, (Questions for HIM, about HER), and ask them to write down their answers. They can pick one of the multiple choice answers provided OR SPECIFY their own answer
6. Ask the women to also write down THEIR answer to the men's questions, (EFFECTIVELY ANSWERING A QUESTION ABOUT THEMSELVES). Again, they might consider one of the multiple choice answers to be correct, or they can SPECIFY their own answer
7. Then onto the ladies 5 questions about their partners (Questions for HER, about HIM). The same process takes place where the men also write down THEIR answers to the ladies questions
8. Continue through all the rounds of questions (40 in total)
9. The winners are the couple who have the MOST SAME ANSWERS, obviously meaning they must know the most about one another!
10. For tiebreaks, use the quick fire questions at the end of the quiz, where the questions are asked & answered one at a time. The first couple to get it wrong are out, until 3 couples remain, who then get ranked 3rd, 2nd and 1st places
To score, you could EITHER;
1. Ask the teams to swap their answer sheets amongst one another (women swap among women, men among men)
2. Read out question 1, and ask for each couple's answers to be read out by whoever has them
3. Starting with Question 1 and the first couple on your list, ask for their answers to be read out. Work your way through the list of couples, scoring as you go. Then move on to question 2 and repeat the process.
Examples might be;
Tom & Mary stand to give Bill & Carol's answers…."Bill said Carol 'does indeed drive safely & conscientiously " - "Carol said her driving was most definitely formular one" (And in that case Bill & Carol would score nil point)
Alan & Tracy stand to give Andrew & Jen's answers…"Jen picked d) Andrew doesn't bother putting up the toilet seat in the first place" - "Andrew wrote I don't do loo seats" (And in that case Andrew & Jen would score 1 point)
Or;
1. Collect in, pair up all the couples sheets and score them
2. Read out a few gem answers prior to revealing the winners / going on to tiebreaks
How to play Tabletop version - in a pub, club (or at home)
Pretty much the same as above except the questions are read by the players and have a space beneath for them to write their answers. The rules of the game still need to be explained prior to start of play, and you need to make enough copies of the question sheets to hand out to all participants, (or if ordered by freepost, let us know the number of copies you require). Completed sheets can be scored in either of the methods above.
Both versions come with full instructions on how to play.
