About general knowledge quizzes

Here's a bit more information on what you can expect from our general knowledge quizzes, with some example questions to follow.

Novelty rounds
These rounds help give our quizzes a quirky edge. Rounds include (but are not limited to);
Expressions, connections, who am I, think-link, all balls, multiple choice, seeing red, on the job, higher or lower, odd one out, true or false, scandals, cryptic clues, called to the bar, great erections, winners & losers, catchphrases, riddles, technophobia, around the house, survey says, getting mathematical, urban myths, what's missing, what comes next, legends, green fingers, one to ten, body bits, soapy gossip, cartoons, good & bad, longer or shorter, location location, newsround, going green......and many, many more!

Blockbuster rounds
There are 3 types of blockbuster rounds that come up in our quizzes.
Blockbusters ABC - All the answers begin with the letter/s specified
Blockbusters Trivia Trail - The last letter of the first answer, is the first letter of the second answer, and so on

Choices when you order
Having been writing and supplying quizzes to pubs since 1990, we understand that  not all landlords, managers and quiz teams enjoy the same format of quiz or difficulty level of questions; and that some have the need or wish to simply lay out quiz sheets on the tables for teams to complete and hand in. For more detail on these choices;

Choice of difficulty level
Easy, Regular or Hard. No points for guessing the least popular there - yet there are pubs that enjoy our hard questions, particularly when they have teams that participate in our league games. So the choice is there!

Choice of format (Random or categorised)

Random format
The questions get merged into a number of straight miscellaneous rounds UNLESS it makes sense for a round to remain grouped - such as 'higher or lower' or 'trivia trail" - in which case we leave that round grouped and have miscellanous rounds either side of it.

Categorised format
Quizzes are laid out in the following rounds;
Q 1 to 5 - General category (either film, TV, music, sport, art, lit, nature, science, food, drink etc)
Q 6 to 10 - General category
Q 11 to 15 - General category
Q 16 to 20 - General category
Q 21 to 25 - Novelty round
Q 26 to 35 - Blockbuster round
Q 36 to 45 - Miscellaneous round

Choice of version (Quizmaster or tabletop)

Quizmaster version
Contains the questions & answers ready for a quizmaster to read out.

Tabletop version
Questions and answers as above PLUS sheets with just the questions & blank spaces for the teams to write their answers in - a quizmaster is not necessarily needed. This is useful if your pub is laid out in two or more bars, or if you want to run a quiz on a sunny, sunday afternoon, in the garden for instance.
